Most cancers are caused by bad luck, says a study.

Most cancers are caused not by significantly bad luck of living poor diet or eventhe inheritance of genes, suggests a new study.
Scientists at Johns Hopkins University have found that random mutations that occur in the DNA when cells divide, are responsible for two-thirds of the cancers.
According to research, the remaining genes are linked to environmental factorsor damaged genes are inherited.
The results suggest that it may be difficult for individuals to significantly reduce the risk of developing cancer by changing the life style of them, but scientistswarn that alcohol, smoking and poor diet can increase "negative factors" for cancer.
University Professor, Bert Vogelstein, said that "all cancers are caused by a combination of bad luck, the environment and heritage, and we created a model that can affect these three factors in cancer development."
People live longer, regardless of exposure to carcinogens are not blessed with"good genes", but good luck, added the professor.
